Daria Zovi

Daria is originally from Italy and has lived on Salt Spring for 25 years. She has owned and operated several agricultural businesses and has been an organic inspector since almost the beginning of the organic movement in BC. She is a strong believer of the CSA model and the heart of the farm. 

Wiet moved to Salt Spring from Holland 10 years ago. Since then she has been growing at home as well as professionally. Wiet has enjoyed taking on the challenge of running the CSA programs with her friend Daria for the past 5 years!

Ronald is from Brazil and has been producing sourdough bread and jar products for the past 5 years. He is taking a break this year to focus on infrastructure, like irrigation, fencing and pathways, that are so crucial to the success of the vegetable program.

Brit is the crew's true Salt Springer. She officially joined the Quarry Farm team with the 2020 winter veggie box and since 2021 she has also been our administrator, registrar and newsletter writer. She will also be the leader in the plant nursery this year.

Wera and Deb are the Chorus Frog nursery magic hands, seeding and tending to the baby plants until they are strong enough to thrive in your gardens. 

Ted is the builder and engineer behind our systems: the packing shed, the cooler and the soon to be root cellar. He is also involved with the vineyard and the processing of fruit juices. 

You know it is Snowpup's day when you hear loud classical music coming from the farm stand. He helps customers and tends to our nursery plants on wednesdays and is the creator of the popular mito-pink and green lemonade. 

Our farm crew is an essential component of getting all the jobs done! From driveway maintenance and snow removal to harvesting crops and packing the boxes - they can do it all! 

Apprentices and interns also join us for the season from March to October
